Carlisle Service Company was hired by Pratt and Whitney for the emergency remediation of mold found in two locations at their MCL Lab location in Columbus, GA. The Scope of Work Included: Construct containment chamber with 2x4 walls, ledger, & rafters 8' off each interior/damaged wall & 6' in hall; Install Pratt approved plastic over entire containment area & seal with double sided tape; Install 3 air scrubbers in main containment, 1 in hall containment, 1 in Tensile for duration of project; Demo affected drywall 4'-8' high as needed in all areas, double bag, & dispose off site; Clean exposed stud walls & drywall with anti-microbial (Mediclean); Clean exposed stud walls, drywall, & containment area with HEPA Vacuums; Seal exposed stud walls & drywall with primer 1 coat’; Obtain third party analytical air sampling & final clearance letter for each containment area post remediation; Break down and dispose of all containment once clearance letter is obtained; Patch back drywall & insulation as needed.
